FULL TIME SENIOR PASTOR NEEDED:  (11/29/07)
The First Baptist Church of Fort Myers, Florida, an historic downtown church, is seeking a Senior Pastor to lead in growth and revitalization as we enter an exciting time of change and opportunity. We are in the initial stages of developing "Trinity ViIlage", a shared campus with two churches of other denominations where each church maintains its own identity and sanctuary, with other facilities shared. This concept will require the leadership of a visionary, Christ-led pastor. Our pastor must be energetic, experienced, possess good leadership skills and have a history of successful church growth. The pastor should have the ability to think creatively, have strong preaching skills and possess the ability to positively motivate members and non-members.
We are a church treasuring and striving to practice historic Baptist principles; the priesthood of all believers, autonomy of local congregations, separation of church and state and soul competency. We believe everyone to be created in God's image, and we welcome all persons as members and leaders without regard to race, gender, family status, age or social situation. If this sounds like an opportunity in which you would be interested, please check our Web site at www.fbcfortmyers.org for additional information relative to the senior pastor position and our church. Please respond with résumé and completed questionnaire from the church Web site. Do not send sample sermons as we will ask for these at a later date if needed.
